Just when i think there is nothing to blog about…..

I remember that I have a group of 4 beautiful kids.  A wonderful man.  2 cats and a dog.  How could there not be any chaos or excitement to write about?!

Today I go house hunting.  For real this time.  Troy and I are serious now and looking is going to be a priority.  We love our home but are barely ‘fitting’ in it these days.  Big.  Think big.  Or spacious.  Yeah, maybe spacious is a better word.  Either way, it’s real now.  Starting at 10 a.m.  Wish us luck!  And keep reminding us that we need to get our butts in gear to get our home on the market.  Wouldn’t hurt to start with purchasing and installing a new bathroom vanity/sink.  Don’t fret, we have our eyes on one at Menards.

That’s all I have for now.  Except, that the cats and dog are kinda starting to get used to each other and my legs are streaked from the sample lotion at the tanning salon.  Can’t believe everyone doesn’t envy me!  LOL!!!

I just realized that I have posted absolutely nothing on this blog about our engagement!  Troy and I got engaged on Tuesday, March 3rd.  We don’t have a date in mind.  Just a few plans.  A wonderful friend of ours, Andy Landers, is going to marry us and I’m still working on his lovely wife to be our photgrapher.  That’s it.  Just us.  Our Vows.  A promise before God.  To love, honor and cherish.  Forever.  No doubts.  No fears.  Just a whole lot of love and tolerance.  hehehe.  We know it’s work to keep a marriage together.  Sadly, we have both failed in the past.  We are ready to make our lives together as husband and wife.  We are ready to never stop working on ourselves and our relationship.  Mr. and Mrs., Troy and Tosha Anthony, Husband and Wife.  Always.  Sounds a bit exciting.  Okay, a lot.  Where do I sign?

AND NOW, THE REASON I GET TO BLOG……..2 are asleep (the youngest 2), 5 outside and 1 on the couch.  Yep, 7 kids this weekend.  And Troy gets to be at the Fire Station the whole time.  Lucky guy!  hehehe

Checks

Just went online to do our check reorder since I literally have the last book of them in my purse and couldn’t believe how much the company has been ripping us off!  The checks (150 duplicates aka 1 box) are roughly around $11.  Okay, that works.  I went to check out and it said my grand total was $24-ish.  WhAT?!  Yep, shipping and handling.  It’s more than the checks!  No thanks!  Google, here i come.

Found checks.  120 duplicates for $8.98 TOTAL.  S/H is free!  I’m getting better and better at this deal finding game.  I’m going to make a good wife someday. 

I have to get back to my ‘list’ and newly created ‘to do folder’.

Whirlwind weekend…..

Kristynbug was lucky enough to attend a slumber party for a girl from her school on Friday night.  A limo picked up the houseful of little girls and took the to Davenport to watch a movie and then brought them back to Muscatine.  They had a blast from the sound of the stories Bug is still telling.  She called Troy Friday night (while I was working) to tell him about the limo and the conversation went something like this….

Kristyn: We rode in a limo!

Troy: I knew all about it

Kristyn: Why didn’t you tell me?

Troy:  Because it was a secret and your mouth is as big as the Grand Canyon.

It’s true.  If there is anything you need advertised and don’t want to have remain a secret, tell Kristyn.  She will take care of telling the world for you.  We love her anyway!

Saturday morning we went and picked up Kristyn and then came home and got everyone showered and packed for Grandpa and Grandma’s house.  Troy and I even got to go!  Troy’s parents were kind enough to let us stay at their home overnight for Avery’s soccer tournament that she had to be to by 715 Sunday.  It was very relaxing and a wonderful time was had by all involved!  Thanks again Mom and Dad Anthony!

Sunday evening we found out we are really going to have our hands full with our oldest who is really, really testing her grounds around here.  Going to be a lot of extra praying happening.

Natalee and I took the kids to school this morning and then we went and spent some time visiting with Grandpa Walker.  I sure am lucky to have the leisure that I do.  I get to spend time with my family and friends without missing a beat.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am going to spend my day cleaning our house.  How exciting!  Troy is at work, grandparents kidnapped Natalee and oldest 3 ventured off to torture their Dad.  Should be cleaning, instead I’m blogging.  Shhhh don’t tell.

Today is my Grandpa Walker’s birthday so I am going to go visit for a bit and give him his card.  Also have to make a stop at the Flower Shop and pick out something for my Mom to send to a funeral.  My mother’s friend’s son passed away on Thursday after an accident at work.  He was 25.  Sad.  Horrible.  Prayer for his family.

I had better get started on my day, but I hope everyone’s ‘hallmark holiday’ is what you want it to be!

We are heading out the door to go house hunting again today!  Cross your fingers and pray for us to find ‘the one’ before our house busts out at the seams or someone gets hurt!  LOL!!!!!!!

Hunting and Cleaning

We have unofficially ‘officially’ started the house hunting excursion that i’m sure we will be on for awhile.  We are going to look at 6 tomorrow and the other 6 Thursday or Friday.  Wish us luck!

I’m heading to bed.  We spent  our ‘anniversary’ cleaning out the garage.  I’m sleepy and want to be in my best awake state tomorrow so we can find the huge house we need and want soooooooo badly.  Anyone want to buy ours?  It’s also unofficially ‘officially’ for sale!  LOL!!!!

Dentist and Doctor…..

Natalee went for her 1st dentist appointment this morning and did amazing!  The hygentist (sp?) was very impressed!  She did the whole treatment.  The only problem was Natalee kept trying to talk.  Gotta work on that.  No cavities and she said we are doing a great job brushing!  Probably from the 12 years of practice on my other kiddos!  Dentist said her binky hasn’t done any damage to her teeth.  Still want to get rid of it though!  Our goal is by mid-summer.   Pray for me.  And her.  And everyone else around us during this!

I went back to my orthopedic surgeon this morning for a check-up on my shoulder.   He is referring me to Ia City to a specialist.  Possible surgery.  Oh!  Now that sounds fun!  (Can’t you just hear the sarcasm?!)  In all honesty, i just want the pain to go away.  it’s annoying and i’m a wimp. 

Grandpa and Grandma are home safe from their vacation.  Can’t wait to see them Friday!
